PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is preparing to host the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan Monday, April 16 at 6:30 pm for the Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders lecture series in the H.O. Clemmons Arena of the Kenneth L. Johnson, Sr. HPER Complex.
Attendees to the free, public event are to adhere to the following guidelines:
Entering the facility
Access to the HPER Complex will be permitted through the main entrance on L.A. “Prexy” Davis Drive. Doors are scheduled to open at 5:00 p.m.
Security
All guests will be required to pass though security screening that includes a physical search. Security personnel have the right to turn away anyone who fails to consent to a search.
The following items will be permitted:

Small purses or fanny packs

Cameras with “small” camera bags (do not load film prior to entering the site as equipment is subject to search)

Diaper bags

Wheelchairs, canes, guide/working dogs (to assist handicapped)
The following items are prohibited:

Pets (with the exception of service animals)

Fireworks
-
Weapons of any description
-
Scanners
-
Mace and pepper spray

Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller blades or roller skates

Alcohol or illegal drugs

Excessive storage items such as briefcases, duffel bags and large camera bags (Note: diaper bags, small purses, small camera cases and fanny packs are allowed.)

Noisemakers of any kind, including amplified sounds devices

Laser pointers

Umbrellas

Balloons

Flowers

Signs

Inappropriate attire, such as masks

Glass, metal or aluminum containers

Tobacco products of any kind
