UAPB Students Experience Entrepreneurial Mindset Summit in Atlanta

The 2024 HBCU/MI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program Summit in Atlanta was a significant initiative aimed at fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in entrepreneurship and advanced technology.  The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) was one of over 23 HBCUs at the summit, which aims to assist Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCUs/MIs) in developing comprehensive entrepreneurship curricula relevant to preparing African American and minority students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and become leaders and entrepreneurs. 

From UAPB to Morgan Stanley: Cameron Shearer Shares His College Journey

Cameron Shearer expresses his deep gratitude towards the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), acknowledging the relationships and key opportunities it provided that paved his path to success. Shearer will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from UAPB’s School of Business and Management (SBM) on Saturday, May 11, and has accepted a position with Morgan Stanley, an American multinational investment bank and financial services company.

UAPB Business School Graduating Senior and Junior Duo Win at AR Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Competition

Westley Guy, a UAPB School of Business and Management (SBM) Graduating Senior, and Jameson Craig, a UAPB SBM junior, won UAPB’s first small business award and cash prize at the 2024 Arkansas Governor’s Cup, a collegiate business competition in Little Rock. The UAPB students were accepted to compete and delivered a business plan briefing and pitch for a Financial Planning Business in front of an audience of approximately 600 with over 65 colleges competing.

UAPB Attends 2023 FINRA-HBCU Professorship Program

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff School of Business and Management participated in the first 2023 FINRA-HBCU Professorship Program cohort held in May in Washington, D.C., as part of the 2023 FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Annual Meeting. The program was attended by faculty from Medgar Evers College of New York, Tennessee State University, Chicago State University, North Carolina Central University, Alabama State University, Southern University, Florida A& M University, University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff, Harris-Stowe University and Texas Southern University.
