Northrop Grumman hires alumna, gives internships to UAPB students

University of Arkansas Pine Bluff graduate Tikel Davis recently accepted a job offer with Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, California.  A Pine Bluff native, Davis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology Management and Applied Engineering (ITMAE) May 2018.

During her matriculation at UAPB, Davis received a number of summer internships and Cooperative Education experiences, and attended several leadership conferences that included the Thurgood Marshall Leadership Institute and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). With the help of her department and the Office of Career Services, the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) scholar was able to obtain the work ethics and soft skills needed to make her marketable upon graduation.

Northrop Grumman Corporation is a leading global security company providing innovative systems, products and solutions to government and commercial customers. The company also hired the following UAPB students majoring in Industrial Technology Management and Applied Engineering (ITMAE) for summer internships: Rodrequis Thompson, a junior from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Blake Jackson, a junior from Chatsworth, California are located in Palmdale, California; and Shadelle Boddy, a junior from Chicago, Illinois, will be doing his second rotation with the company and at their Baltimore, Maryland location.
