Pastor, author, and television personality Matt Mosler will serve as the host of the Chancellor’s Benefit. With Waste Management as the presenting sponsor, the black-tie gala will be held Saturday, April 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Previously held in February each year, the Chancellor’s Benefit is a new addition to the schedule of events for the 145th Founders Celebration at UAPB.

For more than 28 years, Mosler was a television meteorologist and news anchor, most recently as the news anchor of Arkansas’ NBC affiliate morning TV show KARK 4 Today.  In his nearly 3 decades in television, he has flown with the Navy’s Blue Angels, appeared on the Today Show with Willard Scott, and won more than $8,000 in prizes as a contestant on the Wheel of Fortune.

In September of 2014, Mosler put away the make-up for good and became an associate pastor at New Life Church in Greater Little Rock.  Three years later, he and his wife Camille started New Life Church in Pine Bluff.  The church launched in September of 2017.

Mosler recorded two musical CD’s and is the author of the book, Way Off Base, which is an encouragement to readers to discover God’s purpose by stepping out in faith.  He is also the founder and director of CrossHeirs ministries – a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry aimed and helping others fulfill their potential in Christ.  In December 2010, CrossHeirs Ministries became the proud owners of the CrossHeirs Retreat Center in Humphrey, AR.  The 14,000 square foot, 16-bedroom facility provides the perfect setting for teaching, training, recreation or rest for churches, ministries, families or individuals.

Mosler has been married to Camille since 1989. They are parents to three children: Travis, Madison & Rebecca.  They make their home in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Tickets for the benefit are $150 per person and may be purchased in the Development Office, located in Childress Hall on the UAPB campus, online at www.uapb.edu/benefit, or by phone at 575-8701 or 575-8703.
