Girls in STEM conference set for May 5

stem-statsThe Math and Science Pre-College STEM Center at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is planning a STEM Girls Leadership Conference that will be held May 5, 2017, from 8:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., in the STEM Conference Center.  Currently, women from local industries that are interested in being presenters are needed to provide interactive activities for high school women (Grades 9-12) to improve their interest in STEM majors and industry careers.

The Math and Science Pre-College STEM Center is recruiting high school students to participate, from local and regional school districts, and preparing to host up to 78 students from the Eldorado School District. Registration for the conference is free and can be done online at www.uapb.edu/girlsinstem.

  1. Is the summer overnight camp for high school girls still happening? I cannot find application online for this year’s July session. I have a 15 year old rising sophomore.
