UAPB Students Attend Monsanto 1890 Student Leadership Event

" "The Monsanto Company recently selected four students from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to attend their annual 1890 Student Leadership Event in St. Louis, MO. The three-day event included professional development, social activities, business presentations and the opportunity to interview for summer internship and Cooperative Education positions.  All travel and accommodations were provided by Monsanto.

Attendees were: Laneshia Booker, a junior Industrial Technology Management and Applied Engineering major from Chicago, IL; Victoria Hughes, a junior Industrial Technology Management and Applied Engineering major from Pine Bluff, AR; Shamara Lawrence, a sophomore Biology/Pre-Med major from Pine Bluff, AR; and Darius Brown, Computer Science Graduate Program student from Tunica, MS.

Hughes received an offer as Seed Production Intern for the summer of 2017.  Many students that have obtained internships and Cooperative Education opportunities have been extended offers for permanent positions upon graduation.
