Residents will have an opportunity to learn about area housing opportunities at a public meeting Thursday, July 28, at 5 p.m. at the Lake Village Fire Department Fire Station, 912 Highway 65/82 South.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development will give a presentation on available programs. Specific programs to be covered include the 502 program for purchasing or construction of dwellings, the 502 program for purchasing manufactured housing and the 504 program for grants and loans to repair existing homes. Applications will be available at the meeting, and U.S. Department of Agriculture representatives will be available to help in filling them out.
