PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The 6th Annual Small-Scale Producer Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, at the Southwest Center, Texarkana, Texas. The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end around 3:30 p.m.
Sessions include managing timber for profit, Farm Service Agency (FSA) program education for small-scale producers, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) landowner resources for wildlife, spring management for cow/calf producers and using enterprise budgets to make better planning decisions.
The conference includes a complimentary lunch. Jeremy Huff, Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) state grazing land specialist, will be the luncheon speaker. Other presenters are Extension specialists and agents, a representative from FSA, an AGFC private lands biologist, and a county forester.
The Southwest Center is located at 3222 W. Seventh St., Texarkana, Texas. The Small-Scale Producer Conference is sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Programs of Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences.
