Toni “Seville” McCastle, radio broadcast personality, has been selected to host the Chancellor’s Benefit for the Arts. A semi-formal gala that benefits visual and performing arts and museums at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, the event is set for Saturday, April 9 at the Pine Bluff Convention Center with activities beginning at 6:00 p.m.
McCastle is a native east Texan. This year, she celebrates her 23rd year as a radio/television broadcast professional. Her familiar radio moniker, Toni Seville was once heard as one half of KIPR-Power 92’s Broadway Joe Morning Show, one half of Toni and Brad in the Morning on Hot 96.5-KHTE, and as Midday host on WCZQ, Hot 105.5 in Champaign, Illinois, following the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
McCastle is a former pageant interview coach and judge in Arkansas’ preliminary competitions for the Miss America System and was slated as one of ten “Women to Know” in Little Rock by Power Play Magazine. Serving as Program Director and on-air personality for KPBA, 101.3 and assisting with the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s broadcast properties, KUAP-89.7 and UAPB-TV Channel 24 are enough to keep her plate full. She does, however, manage to find time to serve her community as President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Delta Omega Omega Chapter in Pine Bluff – Arkansas’ second largest chapter.
Tickets for the benefit are $125 per person and may be purchased in the Development Office, located in Childress Hall on the UAPB campus or by phone at 575-8701 or 575-8703.
