SAFHS Adventure Camp June 26-July 1: Application Deadline April 25

_MG_0003The School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences (SAFHS) at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host its SAFHS Adventure Camp for high school students June 26 – July 1. The deadline to apply is April 25.

The weeklong program, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), is designed to inform students ages 14-17 about higher education and career opportunities related to the School’s disciplines.

To learn some of the fields they can pursue after graduation, the student participants will explore the departments in SAFHS, as well as several educational centers including the Mid-America Science Museum, Heifer International, Heifer Ranch, and the Plantation Agriculture Museum.

To apply, students need to complete the UAPB-SAFHS Adventure Camp 2016 Application Form, which includes instructions on obtaining a letter of recommendation and submitting an essay about why they want to attend the camp.
