The Division of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education, in collaboration with the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) will offer Lifeguard re-certification and training classes. All courses will be held at the Kenneth L. Johnson, Sr. Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER Complex) swimming pool.
Lifeguard re-certification participants must hold a current Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate. If this certificate has expired, participants must take the full Lifeguarding course. The pretest of swim skills, etc. for re-certification will be done Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 9:00p.m.-2:00p.m. The fee is $170.00/person.
Lifeguard training participants must be 15 years of age or older. The training classes will be Monday, March 21, 2016 – thru March 23, 2016 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The fee is $205.00/person.
All participants must be registered by Wednesday, March 16, 2016.
