High school students, recent high school graduates, transfer students and their families are invited to attend a college fair hosted by the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), Saturday, July 25, 2015, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead located 3300 Peachtree Road NE in Atlanta. The free, public event is being held during the UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Summer Conference.
Millions of dollars in scholarships will be available to qualified applicants and will be offered on the spot to students who meet the required guidelines. Attendees are encouraged to bring official final transcripts, immunization records and ACT/SAT scores.
Recruitment, admissions, academic, athletics, band and choir representatives from UAPB will be available to talk with prospective students, provide information about the institution, admissions criteria, academic programs, costs and answer questions. A special addition to the fair will include a chat with UAPB Chancellor Dr. Laurence B. Alexander. New fall enrollees will also have a chance to win an iPad or book scholarship at the event, but must be present to win.
“This is a great opportunity for college-bound high school students, transfer students and their parents to meet with faculty, staff, current students to see what UAPB has to offer,” said Chris Robinson, director of recruitment at UAPB.
The college fair will give potential students an opportunity to speak with every department on campus from aquaculture/fisheries to residential life, answer questions they might have and leave with a better understanding of UAPB.
