National Library Week set for April 13-16

national library weekPINE BLUFF, Ark. – The John Brown Watson Memorial Library staff at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will commemorate National Library Week April 13-16 with the theme, “Unlimited Possibilities at Your Library.” All of the events are free and open to the public and will be held in the  John Brown Watson Memorial Library System Auditorium.

The celebration will begin Monday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. with a presentation by State Librarian Carolyn Ashcraft. Festivities continue on Tuesday, April 14th at 3:00 p.m. with a Young Author’s Book Review of LaQueisha Malone’s A Walk IN My Shoes.

Wednesday, April 15 the Collaborative Learning Center will be opened for the first time with a ribbon cutting ceremony@ 10:00 a.m. The center will allow up to 30 people the ability to converse with others off campus via videoconferencing for instructions assignments, discussions and more.

The celebration will conclude on Thursday, April 16 with Mother Goose Story time and Coloring Contest @10:00 a.m.
