28th Annual Chancellor’s Benefit scheduled for February 21

CBFTA15-sliderPINE BLUFF, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host its 28th Annual Chancellor’s Benefit for the Arts to be held February 21, 2015, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

The black tie event will salute individuals who have worked tirelessly and donated generously to promote activities and programs that benefit their communities and students attending the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a reception and silent art auction featuring original art works by UAPB faculty, students, alumni and other artists. Dinner is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. with live entertainment and recognition of the 2015 honorees.

Initiated in the fall of 1987, the Chancellor’s Benefit for the Arts was created to generate funds for the continuation of the “Persistence of the Spirit” exhibit.  Now in its 28th season, the benefit’s goals and objectives have been broadened to include support for the arts and various cultural programs at UAPB.  Past proceeds have been used to support art exhibits, theatrical productions, concerts, scholarships, museum tours for art students and performance tours for the band and choir.

Tickets for the benefit are $100 per person and may be purchased in the Development Office, located in Childress Hall on the UAPB campus or by phone, 575-8701 or 575-8703.

Corporate/group/individual sponsorship levels are also available:

  • Platinum ($3,000) – Reserved seating for 16 (two tables), listing as platinum sponsor in the souvenir program, listing as a contributing sponsor in promotional materials and eight reserved parking passes.
  • Gold ($2,500) – Reserved seating for eight (one table), listing as a gold sponsor in the souvenir program, listing as a contributing sponsor in promotional materials, and four reserved parking passes.
  • Silver ($1,500) – Reserved seating for six, listing as a silver sponsor in the souvenir program, listing as a contributing sponsor in promotional materials, and three reserved parking passes.
  • Bronze ($600) – Reserved seating for two, listing as a bronze sponsor in the souvenir program, and one reserved parking pass.
