PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is preparing to offer its new RN-to-BSN program. Set to begin in January 2015, the program is designed for registered nurses who desire a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). To meet the needs of a variety of registered nurses, the program can be completed in four (4) semesters and will offer classes through traditional face-to-face interaction and online. The RN-to-BSN program is being opened with the intent of increasing the number of BSN educated nurses in Arkansas, increasing the diversity of the nursing workforce, and to improve the health of Arkansans.
The degree requirements are comprised of 61 hours of general education courses, 33 hours of nursing education courses, and 30 hours awarded through the Arkansas Articulation Model.
