PINE BLUFF, Ark. – In support of Secretary Vilsack’s implementation of President Obama’s agenda to put Americans back to work and create an economy built to last; the Department of Agriculture (USDA) will host Rural Small Business Connections Wednesday, June 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the S.J. Parker 1890 Extension Complex Auditorium at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB).
This training event will provide small businesses with a series of educational networking sessions and opportunities on how to build capacity and successfully do business with USDA and other Federal agencies.
The Rural Small Business Connections is designed to provide small businesses and small farmer-owned cooperatives with the exposure and insight to increase small business contracting participation with the Federal government. Conference attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a full day of learning discussions led by program and small business procurement officials from USDA, and other Federal agencies.
There is no fee to participate, however, pre-registration is preferred, with onsite registration available. The 1890 Cooperative Extension Complex is located at 2300 L. A. “Prexy” Drive on UAPB’s campus.
