UAPB to honor retirees at reception May 15

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) will honor nine employees at its  Annual Retiree Celebration Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 P. M. in the L. A. Davis, Sr. Student Union Lounge.  These honorees have served the University at tenures that range from 30 years to more than 67 years.

The 2013-2014 honorees are: Mr. Billy Alexander, Sr., Research Assistant, Department of Agriculture, School Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences; Mrs. Kathryn Brown, Administrative Specialist III, Basic Academic Services, University College; Mrs. Almetris Cobbs, Administrative Specialist III, Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries, School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences,  Dr. Barbara Grayson,  Assistant Dean, School of Business and Management, Division of Academic Affairs; Dr. Freddie Hartfield, Professor and University Supervisor for Teacher Practicum-Mathematics, Department of Mathematical and Computer Science, School of Arts and Sciences, Mrs. Virgirean Owens, Fiscal Support Analyst, Office of Accounts Payable, Division of Finance and Administration; Mr. Harold Phillips, Research Assistant, Department of Agriculture, School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences; Mrs. Ruthie Rogers, Institutional Services Assistant, Department of Facilities Management, Division of Finance and Administration; and Dr. Ebo Tei, Chair, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences, Division of Academic Affairs.
