Amount raised is almost double the initial goal of $25K
PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The University Relations and Development office at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff announced that the initial goal of $25,000 has been exceeded during its online campaign, 24/10. As of this week, the campaign has raised $45,235 – almost twice the initial goal. The funds received will have a positive impact on three main fundraising areas that have been identified: university’s highest priority (UHP), scholarships and extra-curricular activities.
“This initiative is an example of what can be accomplished when we work together,” said UAPB Chancellor Dr. Laurence B. Alexander, referring to the interdepartmental efforts it took to pull the campaign together. “With this type of success, anything is possible.”
“The response to the 24/10 Campaign has been encouraging for future campaigns that the University will initiate,” said Dr. Margaret Martin-Hall, director of University Relations and Development. “We extend heartfelt appreciation for the support we are receiving with this initiative.”
It’s still not too late to go online and give. Currently, a phonathon is underway to reach individuals who may not have had notification of the 24/10 campaign and to increase the opportunity to support deserving students at UAPB.
