LAP LAMBERT, a Germany-based academic publishing company has asked Dr. Miah M Adel, Professor of Physics, Astronomy, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, if he would be interested in converting his recently published article “Farakka Barrage, the greatest ever riparian bluff for upstream water piracy” into book form.
In his article, Dr. Adel discusses the looting of 60% of Bangladesh’s water by India to create waterways for a commercial cruise line. This action causes environmental disasters like surface water depletion, extinction of aquatic species, elimination of inland waterways, and increased malnutrition among the people that live there.
