The Gingerbread Man Opens at UAPB

PINE BLUFF, Ark. –The Gingerbread Man has finally come to stage thanks to the immensely talented John McLinn Ross Players at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Run, don’t walk, to see this traditional children’s story told in an engaging musical way with a book, music and lyrics by David Wood. For children of all ages, performances are February 15-17. School groups who saw the show were mesmerized by the lively cast and wildly imaginative set.

The Gingerbread Man wakes up to find his new friends, Salt, Pepper, the cuckoo bird, and even an old tea bag living on the countertop downstairs while the Big Ones sleep. They pull together to save one of their own and the Gingerbread Man from the dangerous mouse in the house.

Director of Theatre Cheryl Collins dished recently that, “everyone loves storytelling done by our ensemble of actors.” This production, the 2013 continuation of the Freedom Season of theatre, is no different.

Reservations for individuals and groups are available for The Gingerbread Man. You can book today by calling 870-575-8428 or sending an email to skinnera@uapb.edu.
