I believe he has the right combination of experience and knowledge of the university to serve in this capacity, and I look forward to working with him.”

Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture education at UAPB and a master’s degree in counselor education from the University of Central Arkansas. He completed his Ph.D. degree in adult education and public school administration at Kansas State University.

  1. Surely with I could be there (Alumna AM&N). Thanks, Congratulations and Best Wishes to Lawrence A. Davis, Jr. (Prexy) on his amazing service and his retirement; and to Dr. Johnson on his appointment and commitment to UAPB’s future.

  2. I said I wanted to meet him, someone replied “Oh, he is just the interim, he’s not gonna do anything.” I can’t help but think that with his sparkling credentials, Dr. Johnson knows fully well what sort of attitudes he is up against and is prepared to face all such challenges. The Golden Lions need strong leaders to challenge us and raise our bar, not placators being payed by the Good Old Boy System to keep us docile, but that is just my opinion. Thank you for letting me comment.

  3. i would love to attend the reception. im sad that again stealing brought chancellor davis to retirement. thx for his time. sometime you STAY too long. but its a new day. i pray it will move forward. the school
did not deserve this scandal. dr. johnson, welcome. i love my school. .
