UAPB students selected for career exploration event

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Opportunities continue to abound for students at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). Five accounting students have been selected to attend the InSight St. Louis Career Exploration event in St. Louis, Missouri September 15-17. InSight St. Louis is a coalition of leading St. Louis based Fortune 500 and midsize corporations that recruit for career paths in St. Louis.

Annually, qualified students from various universities are invited to attend. During the event, students will have the opportunity to network with CEOs and young professionals; explore entertainment and cultural highlights and interview for Cooperative Education and summer internship positions.

The students are Lakeshia Lattimore, junior, Dumas, Arkansas; Charlissa Loveberry, sophomore, Memphis, Tennessee; Angelica McClendon, sophomore, Memphis, Tennessee; Charniese Turner, Junior, Widener, Arkansas; and Toneisha Sargent, Senior, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The students will be accompanied by Ms. Yulanda Riley, Project Specialist/Career Coach in the Office of Career Services.

The Office of Career Services prepares students to make the transition from college to the real world of work or to continue with graduate or professional school.
