Simple Steps Can Help Local Small Businesses Grab Customers’ Attention Online
PINE BLUFF, Ark. – A free event this month for small business people will explain how area businesses can attract the attention of potential customers searching online for the products and services they offer.
“Can Customers Find You Online?” will be offered at 10:00 -11:30 a.m. and repeated at 1:00 -2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25 at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Business Support Incubator located 615 South Main street in Pine Bluff.
The event will show Jefferson County entrepreneurs and small businesses simple steps for claiming and enhancing their free online business listings on Google and other Internet sites. The listings are critical since the way consumers look for information about local services and stores has changed. Rather than the phone book, many now turn to the Internet. Even businesses that do not have their own websites can utilize free listings so customers can easily find them online.
Due to limited seating, advance registration is required. To reserve your seat, please call (870) 575-8030. Please specify whether you will attend the morning or afternoon session.
The program is presented by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas at Monticello, in cooperation with the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Economic Research and Development Center. It is funded, in part, through a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center program is a partnership of the SBA and the UALR College of Business and other institutions of higher education.
